    Slowly getting back to normal....

Thursday, June 12, 2008, 10:19 PM EST [General]

Still no internet at home, but this time it's RCN's fault, not mine. Hopefully by tomorrow the issues will be resolved, then I can have a heart attack when I open my email inbox. Gah......

Gearing up for Celtic Fling at PARF June 27-29. Albannach has been added to the music list!! Also, Coyote Run's new CD is up on their online store at www.coyoterun.com.  The MP3 clips should be enough to convince you to buy this album. It is AWESOME.

The Elemental ladies have a new vendor spot this year! We are just outside the gates that lead to Avalon Hill, in front of the chessfield, across from the Millerney Building and Dress Your Dreams. Lots of new stuff this year, and we will also be carrying Coyote Run's CD's for them during the months of August and September, if you don't want to wait until they come back in October. They said they will also have the new CD at Celtic Fling.

Falconry apprenticeship moving along - Ash got a new baby barn owl named Xena last week - she is adorable and very well-tempered for a juvenile bird. Once I am back online, I will post lots of pics. I finally got to order my falconry glove yesterday. :)

That's all for now - see you at Fling!

    Red Molly still sails!

Thursday, May 22, 2008, 08:32 AM EST [General]

Apologies for not posting as of late - I have been without internet service at home for nearly a month, and looking at still being another week or so before I can afford to have service turned back on. I'm typing away at a friend's house right now,  but will be leaving in a bit and don't know when I'll have access again.

Things have been hectic - the Elemental Girls vended at West Windsor last weekend, and we're now preparing for Celtic Fling at PARF. I will be vending at the MD Faerie Festival June 6-7 with my wonderful artist friend Helena under the name A Wicked Pack. I'm not sure how much stuff I'll have with me, because I was not able to order any supplies to make new things, but all of the items on the Etsy shop, plus some other baubles, will be on display. Unfortunately I no longer have a merchant account, so if you plan to purchase from me, it may have to be cash or check unless Helena still  has her merchant account set up.

I started apprenticing with the PARF Royal Falconer, Ash Cary, at the end of April. I had begun working as part of a new internship program, but that got squashed due to budgeting issues the second week in. Instead I hope to work towards taking the apprentice permit test by May of next year, and have some shot of being an actual paid employee of the Faire instead of relying on commissioned sales every week, which I will still do, of course, but with the rising cost of gas, I need a more reliable supplemental income during Faire season. I haven't been able to get up to the Faire to do apprentice work for the past three weeks due to no money for gas (it's up to $3.84 a gallon here in my part of PA, and it takes me a good hour and a half to get to the Fairegrounds), but hope to restart by the first weekend of June. I fell in love with the birds as soon as I laid eyes on them, and miss them very much.

Hope to be online very soon - only a few more months until PARF season!
